Juho Haapoja (5-2-1 3 KO), Finish BBU Heavyweight champion has written a public letter to Marcin Najman, in which he encourages Marcin to fight him in his first title defense.
Yliharma, Finland 18th June 2008
Public challenge for Marcin Najman
I´m very glad that the official championship federation for Baltic area´s professional boxers, Baltic Boxing Union, which undisputed heavyweight champion I am, has raised some interest in your country which is known to have a great and important fighting culture.
Although I have also got the knowledge that in many discussions there have been speculations about possible Polish challenger for me and almost every single time there has been raised forward the name “Marcin Najman”. I also heard that Najman himself has thought about his possibility to take away the BBU´s most important title, the heavyweight championship belt which is reigned by me!
Now I want to make this information public: even hearing Najman´s name is making me very angry! I don´t know any fighter whose name would be Marcin Najman. With that name I´m knowing only a clown who wants himself to be called as a boxer! Marcin Najman is using artist name “El Testosterone” but I think that he is having too much woman hormone in his body! Because of your woman hormone levels, you should stay home, watch your kids, cook for them, and play video poker with them.
Marcin, you started your professional career with a TKO loss to Peter Simko and in the re-match you won him barely only by points. Marcin, I want to ask you honestly: Are you a sheep or a cow, in every case you are NOT a boxer!
Marcin, I respect you by that way that you get people publicly to imagine that you could even have a chance to beat me. Now it is your time to answer those speculations. I have given my own proof of my abilities by winning my title with hard work in a fight against respected Russian Daniel Peret and after that by showing my fighter´s attitude by a hard and bruising fight with Denis Bakhtov in his home ring at the same time when your greatest moments have been that silly Big Brother –program and the TKO –loss to Peter Simko!
Marcin, despite of everything I´m willing to give you a chance, even in your own backyard, to fight for the BBU heavyweight title, which I´m reigning. Be a man by answering this challenge and ask your promoter to organize that fight! In that special fight you will be pole-axed!
Juho Haapoja
Professional boxer, the heavyweight king of Baltic Boxing Union

Polish WBC light heavyweight champion Tomasz Adamek (30-0, 21 KO) prepares in the USA for his upcoming highly anticipated rematch with Paul “Hurricane” Briggs (25-2, 18 KO), which will take place on October 7 on the Valuev-Barrett undercard.
According to the official Adamek’s website www.adamek.com.pl, polish fighter is doing very well during sparring sessions and currently wieghts 176 pounds, which is only 1 pound above the LHW limit.
One of Tomek's sparing partners, Rayco Saunders (who sparred with Briggs before his first fight against Adamek), said that, in his opinion, Adamek was superrior to Briggs in boxing skills.
Since Tomasz’s trainer, Andrzej Gmitruk had recently some serious health problems, forcing him to undergo a surgery, polish champion’s been preparing for the Briggs rematch with legendary Buddy McGirt, who will also be in Adamek's corner during the fight.
Meanwhile, sources close to the Briggs’ camp revealed that there are some misapprehentions between Paul and his new trainer, Johny Lewis.
More to come...
